Hi Stu, I know what you mean. Gene sounds like a cross between between a crooner and Nashville Skyline-era Dylan in the first line. I think he settles into his own voice once you get into it though. In a lot of the '66/'67 stuff Gene's fascination with Bob kind of got the better of him in some respects. But this is still a gorgeous tune. Thanks for leaving a message!

If I Hang Around is definitely a great Gene Clark song but it sure doesn't sound like Gene singing it. Any idea why this might be?
