We just received the 4 track demos CD the other day from Sierra, and it's almost shockingly high quality! Hearing One In A Hundred like this even made me tear up a bit... what an Artist. Just wow.

I didn't want to cave and listen to the 4 track bonus EP, because I figured I'd be wanting more music ASAP and would have to wait. Anyway, I caved months later. I cannot believe how good The Virgin sounded. Not only a pristine recording, but what a vocal performance! This was much more than a demo, this was close to release worthy. The other tracks were great (though I was never a big fan of the song 1975) too. I was expecting the audio to be similar to the Here Tonight: The White Light Demos. This was much better in every way (and no annoying harmonica!). I don't mind a little harmonica when Gene does his singer songwriter thing, but it was on almost every track on Here Tonight. The seven additional acoustic tracks from 69-70 on the new SACD look to be similar to the four on the bonus disc (different recording sessions though), but just guitar and vocals, so I'm excited for that.
