Well, this has prompted me to finally leave a comment! I've just "discovered" Gene Clark after reading about him in the Gram Parson's biography "Twenty Thousand Roads". I think this is the beginning of a long obsessive journey...

And thank you for keeping this blog going - means a lot to me!

If you dig Gram you'll dig Gene. Gene deeply respected Gram's music and covered a few of his songs over the years.

Ta, Sha!
Your blog is performing an important role in making folk more aware of Gene Clark that with any luck will be reflected improving further the availability of his performances.
Regards, Caroline.

Thank you, Caroline.

This year will mark the 20th anniversary of Gene's passing. I still can't believe how little archive material has seen the light of day in that time, when we all know there's so much high-quality stuff sitting idle somewhere, gathering dust.

it's no fluke that Gene & Gram both are scorpios---nor that gene covered gram and neil young and gordon lightfoot---all spiders! [i cant recall if gene ever covered Joni, yet another talented scorp]
my older bro was a scorpio---hey that rhymes!

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows if Gene sings on "I Know My Rider."

Hi Davis,
Good question. I suspect not, though one never knows for sure.
